Terms & Conditions — ScanLocker

1. Acceptance of Use

ScanLocker provides on-device document scanning and PDF management. By using the app, you agree to these terms and remain responsible for how scanned documents are used and shared.

2. License

ScanLocker is licensed, not sold. You may use it for personal or business document organization. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the app in ways that harm others, including scanning credentials or protected documents you do not have permission to store.

3. User Responsibility

• You are responsible for keeping your PDF passwords safe. If a password is lost, encrypted PDF content cannot be recovered.
• You are responsible for exported/shared documents and any third-party services you use to send them.
• OCR text, ID data, and business-card information should be reviewed for accuracy before reliance.

4. Privacy

ScanLocker operates on-device by design. It does not collect data from your documents or usage. Optional purchases are processed by the app store and validated through RevenueCat (purchase history and an anonymous app user ID). Consent-gated Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are described in the Privacy Policy. Full details are available at prodevinfotech.github.io/scanlocker-legal.

5. Security & Data Loss

Although ScanLocker supports app lock and AES-encrypted password-protected PDFs, you acknowledge that device compromise, unauthorised access, or user error can lead to data exposure or loss. You should maintain backups where appropriate. Loss of a PDF password results in unrecoverable content.

6. Subscriptions, Purchases & Refunds

ScanLocker Pro is sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store is the merchant of record and handles payment, taxes, renewals and refunds.

• Auto-renewing plans (monthly, yearly) renew automatically at the price shown at purchase unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• One-time plans (Lifetime, Founder Lifetime) do not renew. Founder Lifetime is limited to the batch size shown in the app and is removed from sale when that batch is exhausted.
• Prices are provided by the store at the time of purchase and may change for future periods. Existing subscribers are notified by the store as required by its rules.
• Restore your purchase after reinstalling with “Restore purchases” in the paywall or Settings.
• Refunds are governed by the store's policy. Contact Google Play or Apple Support; we cannot issue store refunds directly.
• Free tier remains usable without a purchase. Pro features are described in the app before checkout.

7. No Warranty

The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of OCR, ID scan capture, compatibility with all scanners, or uninterrupted operation.

8. Changes

Terms may be updated when features or policies change. Continued use after update means acceptance.
